[ICT Media STRATEGIES] – [ICT Media STRATEGIES] – The Cameroonian government, the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Board have organized the DIGITAL WEEK CAMEROON 2023. The event took place in Yaoundé from October 16 to 20, 2023. The event aims to bring together members from across the Commonwealth and stakeholders in the ICT and Energy industries.

Before opening ceremony chaired by the Prime Minister Chief of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion NGUTE, on 17th October, the Women’s Forum took place on the 16th of October 2023.

The Session 1 of that Women’s Forum was moderated by Pr Justine DIFFO née TCHUNKAM, TRB Board Chairman. With panelists such as Catherine Bikay, DIER MINPOSTEL; Mrs MEVA, Magistrate, Director of Human Rights/MINJUSTCE; Mrs. Marie Rose Daya, General Manager, Customer Experience (MTN Cameroon) or Mrs. Silvia NFONBA, Director, Orange Business (Orange Cameroun), they discussed about building an Inclusive Digital Space for the Empowerment of Women (Technologies, Public policies, Economy, etc.)

In the video provided, Pr Justine DIFFO née TCHUNKAM expressed her opinion on the importance of women practising when developing digital solutions. According to her, with practice comes the ability to appropriate new concepts without fear. She emphasized that education plays a vital role in the process, and it should be considered at the beginning and end of the development process.
